Design chosen for Czestochowa station
The winning design is by Toprojekt from Rybnik in collaboration with Andstudio and Studio Antonini
POLAND Polish State Railways (PKP) has published pictures of the future Częstochowa Główna railway station.

Construction work should begin in mid 2021. The competition to find a concept design was won by Toprojekt from Rybnik in collaboration with two Paris studios: Andstudio and Studio Antonini. “We are soon to start negotiations with the winner of the competition and hopefully we will sign a contract to have the detailed design drawn up, which we plan to take place in Q1 this year,” announced Małgorzata Zielińska, a member of the management board of PKP. The building permit should be awarded the end of 2020 and work on the station should be completed by 2022. The new station will comprise two glazed buildings on the site of the current eastern and western pavilions. The eastern section will include ticket offices and a car hire point. The western building will have ticket vending machines and a waiting room. The project is to be partially funded with EU funds.
