POLAND Robyg group expects the demand for new apartments to continue to rise in 2020 due to the availability of mortgage financing, rising investment demand, and high level of supply.

“In 2019, the number of units delivered was the highest for many years and the number of building permits issued also increased. This shows that the residential market in Poland is still growing and we forecast that it will continue to rise throughout 2020. Poland is still lacking 2-3 mln apartments, which means that with an average of 200,000 occupancy permits granted annually, demand should remain strong for the next 10-15 years,” comments Joanna Chojecka, the director of sales and marketing at Robyg. The company has land enough to construct around 1,600 apartments. Currently, the company has 1,600 apartments on sale in Gdańsk and Warsaw around 5 pct of which are ready to be handed over. The developer is also active in Poznań.
