Moscow to build hospital in couple of weeks
Work on the new hospital is to be completed at record speed
RUSSIA Construction work on a hospital for infectious diseases has started in New Moscow.

The centre will have beds for 500 patients and is being built on a 43 ha site. A week ago the project was announced by Andrei Bochkariov, Moscow's deputy mayor for urban planning and construction. The centre will have a total of app. 70,000 sqm. “In parallel with the site preparation, we are preparing tender procedures for the work and supplies of building materials as well as medical equipment. In three days, a 12 km gas line and electric cabling will reach the construction site. A well is being dug with a water pumping house and residential facilities for medical staff. “We have an extraordinary situation, so it is difficult to talk about the completion date for the work but we’re counting on a number of weeks,” he writes in his blog and adds “Despite the rapid pace of construction it will be an ultra-modern centre comparable with Moscow’s best hospitals.”
