MLP starts second German park

EUROPE Polish Warehouse developer MLP is continuing its expansion onto the German market.

MLP Business Park Niederrhein will combine a city logistics centre with a big box warehouse. The 55,000 sqm park is to be built on a 12.5 ha plot 3.5 km from the A52 motorway, 16 km from Monchengladbach and 40 km from Dusseldorf. The centre is to be BREEAM certified.

"North Rhine-Westphalia is one of Germany’s most attractive investment areas, which is due to such
factors as excellent infrastructure, logistics of Germany as a whole, and access to qualified staff,"
emphasises Patrick Kurowski, the. country manager for Germany and Austria at MLP. The minimum module size in the park will be 1,500 sqm . MLP Business Park Niederrhein is MLP’s second business park project, its first being MLP Business Park Berlin I, which is currently under development.

“MLP Group's strategic goal is to ensure that over the next few years projects in Germany account for more than a half of our warehouse portfolio,” says Radosław T. Krochta, the CEO of MLP Group.
