Târgu Mureș mall opening put back to Q3
Shopping City Târgu Mureș is an investment of around EUR 70 mln

ROMANIA NEPI Rockcastle has announced that the opening of Shopping City Târgu Mureș, which was originally scheduled for the end of March, will now take place in the third quarter of the year, when Covid-19 restrictions on retail are expected to have been lifted.

The 39,800 sqm shopping centre, an investment of around EUR 70 mln, will feature such brands as Carrefour, CCC, Cineplexx, Flanco, eMag, Hervis Sports, Intersport, KFC, LC Waikiki, LPP (Cropp, House, Reserved and Sinsay) and New Yorker.

NEPI Rockcastle has also stated that it will not be launching any new projects until there is further clarity on the impact of the pandemic on the group’s operations. After investing EUR 50 mln on development projects in Q1, it therefore estimates that such expenditure will only reach EUR 70 mln for the entire year.
