Galeria Galena to open on November 20th
Retail & leisureThe investor behind the enterprise, P.A. Nova of Gliwice, predicts that the facility will be 95 pct leased on its opening date. “I believe that this is a very good result in the current market conditions. The majority of tenants have already taken over their units and they are carrying out the fit out work,” said Ewa Bobkowska, the president of the board at P.A. Nova. Galeria Galena has a leasable area of 31,500 sqm and over 100 shops. The brands that will feature in the mall include: Carrefour, H&M, LPP brands, Deichmann and Martes Sport. Its food court includes KFC, McDonald’s, Olimp and Subway. Its entertainment section will consist of a six-screen Multikino cinema, a Fabryka Formy fitness club and a Grawitacja bowling alley. Now the company is focusing on the finishing work and preparations for the opening of the centre, which will be preceded by the launch of two other retail projects of the company: retail parks in Krosno (2,800 sqm, six stores) and Kamienna Góra (4,300 sqm, nine stores). Both are fully commercialised and will start their operations in September. Furthermore, the company is planning the construction of a cinema in Galeria Sanowa in Przemyśl. “We are waiting for a building permit for a four-screen cinema. I cannot disclose its operator at this time. I hope that it will be open in H1 2016,” added Ewa Bobkowska. By the end of this year or at the beginning of the next the company should also have finalised the sale of its next few retail parks. After the completion of the project in Jaworzno the company will focus on the construction of small retail parks and BTS warehouse and industrial facilities. The facilities are to be built to tenants’ orders as development projects by the company. In 2016 there will be two such projects in Sosnowiec and Kłodzko. In H1 P.A. Nova generated sales revenue of PLN 75.6 mln (almost PLN 79 mln in H1 2014). Its EBIT decreased from PLN 18.3 mln in H1 2014 to PLN 16.7 mln in H1 2015. Its net profit was also slightly lower than in the same period a year earlier, amounting to PLN 9.4 mln (PLN 11.1 mln in H1 2014).
