POLAND Biuro Inwestycji Kapitałowych (BIK) has started work on a new 11,500 sqm warehouse in Śląskie Centrum Logistyczne in Sosnowiec.
The project should be completed by the end of November. It will contain a high-storage area and a handling area with a large number of docks, as well as 2,500 sqm for cross-docking. The general contractor is Awbud, which is to receive PLN 18.8 mln for the work. “The extension is one of the projects partly financed from the funds raised from last year’s share issue,” revealed Mirosław Koszany, the CEO of Biuro Inwestycji Kapitałowych.
Śląskie Centrum Logistyczne in Sosnowiec is the largest investment enterprise carried out to date by Biuro Inwestycji Kapitałowych. Three warehouses with a combined area of 35,000 sqm have so far been built over an area of 9.5 ha, 2,000 sqm of which is office space. The warehousing complex is located next to the junction of the A4 motorway and S1 expressway.
