HB Reavis starts work on Bratislava tower
The architectural and conceptual design work on Stanica Nivy is by Benoy and Siebert + Talaš
SLOVAKIA HB Reavis has started the construction of the large-scale Stanica Nivy mixed-use project in Bratislava.
The 125m Nivy Tower office building will be the first to be built, followed by a shopping centre, a modern marketplace and an international bus terminal. In total, the project will comprise 70,000 sqm of retail space, 31,000 sqm of leasable office space, a 3,000 sqm fresh produce market and a 30,000 sqm bus terminal. The office tower should be completed by the beginning of 2020.

Designed by UK architectural studio Benoy in collaboration with Slovak studio Siebert + Talaš, it should become the first ever building in Slovakia to be awarded a WELL certificate at the ‘Gold’ level for core and shell. The studios are also responsible or the wider conceptual design of the entire Stanica Nivy project. The developer also plans to construct a cable car connecting the city’s Nivy district to the other bank of the Danube as part of the project.

Jakub Gossányi, the head of development at HB Reavis Slovakia, claims that: “Starting construction on Stanica Nivy is a fantastic milestone following many years of careful planning. This multi-functional development counts among our flagship projects and will re-energise this strategically important part of Bratislava with the delivery of quality and exciting retail, hi-tech office space and an enhanced city transport system.”
