Galeria Północna to open on September 14th
The first large-scale mall in Warsaw's Białołęka district will have around 200 stores

POLAND Galeria Północna, the first large-format shopping centre in Warsaw’s Białołęka district, is to welcome its first customers on September 14th.

“We can announce that the centre is to begin operations on Thursday, September 14th. On this day, starting at 12 noon, we invite shoppers to get to know Galeria Północna, its extensive range of retail and entertainment and enjoy the many events that will take place at the opening,” declares Piotr Kroenke, the general director of GTC in Poland. “The final finishing work is in progress at the building site and we are now preparing the relaxation areas and green areas around the shopping centre. The majority of the shops are almost ready for customers,” he adds.

Construction work on Galeria Północna, a fourth generation centre in Warsaw’s northern suburbs, was launched in mid-2015. It comprises 64,000 sqm of retail space and more than 2,000 parking spaces. More than 750,000 people live in the immediate area of Galeria Północna, mostly young people and families with children. The mall will also feature the first green roof with a garden in the capital city, as well as a skateboard park and an outdoor gym. A parking area with a repair station for bicycles will also be provided, as well as a number of amenities for families with children such as toilets for children, a playground and a children’s area in the food court.

The centre will have more than 200 clothing, footwear, children’s and electronic stores, including LPP brands Reserved, Mohito, Sinsay, House and Cropp; as well as CCC, TK Maxx, H&M, Douglas and Sephora perfumeries and Super-Pharm and Rossmann drugstores. Tenants also include a Carrefour hypermarket, an eleven-screen Cinema City, a Calypso fitness club and an Enel-Med medical clinic. Hairdressing and cosmetics salons will be opening as well as over 20 catering tenants. Brands that are new to Poland or Warsaw include British toy store Hamleys, children’s clothes boutique Newbie and the first 4facas and Homla stores in Warsaw – as well as Russian clothing retail group Melon Fashion Group. Galeria Północna will be the first mall in the country to include stores of all three brands of the group: Zarina, Love Republic and Befree. The owner and manager of the centre is the GTC group.
