Kraków leads regional markets

POLAND The total stock of modern office space in eight regional markets (Kraków, Wrocław, TriCity, Katowice, Poznań, Łódź, Szczecin and Lublin) came to 4,117,500 sqm in H1 2017 according to data from the Polish Office Research Forum.
Kraków has the largest stock (992,200 sqm), followed by Wrocław (873,100 sqm) and the TriCity (645,500 sqm). A total area of 188,400 sqm was delivered to the eight markets over the period, most of which was in Kraków (80,900 sqm) followed by Łódź (33,700 sqm). A total of 393,000 sqm was vacant across all eight markets with the highest vacancy rate in Szczecin (14.3 pct), and the lowest being in Łódź (6.0 pct). The total leasing volume over the period came to 331,400 sqm with the largest volume of transactions in Kraków (98,300 sqm) followed by Wrocław (91,700 sqm).
The largest transactions over the period included the pre-lease of 15,500 sqm in Business Garden II in Wrocław by Credit Agricole, the lease renewal by Energa Group in the Olivia Business Centre in Gdańsk (15,100 sqm) and the lease renewal by Brown Brothers Harriman in the Orange Office Park in Kraków (14,700 sqm).
