Atrium starts Reduta redevelopment
The shopping centre in Warsaw's Szczęśliwice district is now twenty years old
POLAND CFE Polska as the general contractor has begun the redevelopment of the Atrium Reduta shopping centre in Warsaw’s Szczęśliwice district.

Atrium Poland Real Estate Management is the manager of the centre, which it co-owns with Carrefour. A total of 5,800 sqm will be added to the twenty-year-old centre. The first phase of the project involves the construction and opening of a 2,700 sqm Cinema 3D multiplex – the first cinema of the chain in Warsaw. A new 1,700 sqm fitness club is to be built next to the cinema. The rest and relaxation area in the shopping will be refurbished and given a new design similar to the interior decor and atmosphere of the culinary zone, which is to be renovated in the second phase of the project.

“A huge number of Atrium Reduta’s visitors are young people, who are highly-aware consumers and expect something more than an interesting retail offer from a shopping centre. Atrium Reduta is appreciated for the comfort of shopping it provides in a pleasant, cosy atmosphere. However, this is not enough for us, as we want the centre to become a place for spending free time. The changes are aimed at expanding the entertainment and leisure offer, quickly introducing a brand new food court with a modern design, and creating an exceptional atmosphere for meeting up and relaxation,” explains Jarosław Szerfenberg, the head of development of Atrium Poland.

The work has been scheduled for completion in Q4 2018, around the same time that Atrium Targówek in Warsaw is to be re-opened, after 8,600 sqm has been added to that centre. Atrium Reduta is located on Al. Jerozolimskie and comprises 27,000 sqm gla with almost 140 stores and service units. Tenants of the centre include CCC, Camaieu, Carry, Cropp, Diverse, Duka, Ecco, Empik, RTV Euro AGD, H&M, Hebe, Home & You, House, Jacqueline Riu, KappAhl, Martes Sport, Mohito, Orsay, Peek & Cloppenburg, Reserved, Rossmann, Sephora, Sinsay, Springfield, Swiss and Tchibo.
