Pizza comes to Czech

11 September 2017

CZECH REPUBLIC AmRest has announced the opening of the first Pizza Hut restaurant in the Czech Republic in the Palladium shopping centre in Prague.

By 2021 the company intends to have opened 70 restaurants. The new restaurant is a Pizza Hut Express, which only offers dishes that can be prepared in less than 5 minutes. AmRest already operates the KFC, Starbucks and Burger King chains in the Czech Republic. “The 5-minute pizza concept is very popular in Poland and Hungary, which is why we are convinced that the restaurant will also be popular with consumers in the Czech Republic,” says Monika Czyż, the director of Pizza Hut Delivery & Express. AmRest manages nearly 300 Pizza Hut restaurants in six countries: Poland, Russia, Germany, France, Hungary and the Czech Republic. In October 2016 the company, as the master franchiser, acquired the sub-franchising rights for the Pizza Hut Express and Pizza Hut Delivery restaurants in Central and Eastern Europe.
