Philips lights up Nike
The overhead lighting is designed to resemble a running track
POLAND Philips has used state-of-the-art lighting in the Nike ForPro store on ul. Klimczaka in Warsaw.

The concept for the store is that it is something more than just a sports brand store so the lighting designers had to come up with non-standard ideas. Not only did they have to exhibit the products, but also to create the ambience of the store. “You need unconventional ideas such as innovative lighting to support the sales of a strong brand. Customers of the ForPro store will have a more vivid experience of the brand and the sporty spirit of the modern space illuminated with smart light,” says Bartek Kwiatkowski, the owner of the ForPro store. Lines of Philips LEDs are suspended under the ceiling and constitute an exceptional feature of the interior design, resembling hanging running tracks. Customers following the line of light track will make their way to the changing rooms designed to look like a sport’s locker room. Philips has designed a mirror for the changing rooms, that allows customers to change the colour of the light with a touchscreen. Philips has installed light panels around the store, on which different images can be displayed. The Dynamic Shop Window system was used in the design of the window display, which change the colour, brightness and direction of the light.
