Koneser racing to the finish
Michał Skotnicki, the CEO of BBI Development, speaking at the topping off ceremony
POLAND The Skarbnica residential building, which is being developed by BBI Development in Centrum Praskie Koneser in Warsaw, has been topped off.
The completion of the construction work has been scheduled for July 2018.

“The speed of the commercialisation of Koneser has been very satisfactory. We have leased virtually all the office space, which is to be completed in March next year. While the buyers of the lofts and soft-lofts in Skarbnica clearly appreciate the unique atmosphere and convenient location of Koneser,” believes Michał Skotnicki, the CEO of BBI Development.

The building will comprise 108 apartments of between 29 sqm and 142 sqm as well as five retail/service outlets and five offices on the ground and first floors. Along with the apartments with balconies and loggias throughout the building, the top floor will include penthouses with mezzanines and terraces. A one-storey car park is to be built under the building, while there will also be a green area and landscape furniture. Skarbnica has been designed by the Are architectural studio and the general contractor is JPC.

“The construction of Koneser is taking a long time not because the work or procedures are sluggish, but because the investor declared from the beginning that they would not aggressively intrude upon the historic architecture of the complex, but would careful design its projects to make all parts of the complex integrate well with each other and their surroundings,” pointed out Warsaw deputy mayor Michał Olszewski, at the ceremony.

Centrum Praskie Koneser is being developed on the 5 ha site of the former Koneser vodka distillery in Warsaw’s Praga district. It will comprise office, retail and residential buildings as well as a hotel, a conference centre and the Museum of Polish Vodka. The commercial section of Koneser is being jointly developed by BBI Development and Liebrecht & Wood, while the residential part is carried out independently by BBI Development. The Juvenes – Projekt studio is responsible for the urban concept for the project.
