Kadr opens in Mokotów
The centre has an area of 3,200 sqm
POLAND The Kadr cultural centre has been opened in Warsaw’s Mokotów district.

The three-storey building has an area of nearly 7,000 sqm with a useable area of 3,200 sqm. The centre includes 15 educational rooms, a recording studio, a photography studio and a cafe. The interior is designed by Samograj studio. The post industrial character of the building has been designed to fit the surrounding Służewiec district. The interior feature bare concrete and wood, which serves as an acoustic baffle for soundproofing. The austerity of the materials used results not only from the aesthetics of the design but also from the cost. The Kadr culture centre at ul. Rzymowskiego 32 was developed with funds from the city budget at a cost of PLN 26.6 mln. The general contractor was FBI Tasbud.
