Green light for Libeskind project
A Radisson Red hotel is to open in the K18B complex
LITHUANIA K18B, an office and hotel project designed by Daniel Libeskind, has been granted preliminary approval by Vilnius city council.
The project still requires environmental permits and public consultations that will determine the ultimate shape of the building and its height. A preliminary design for the building, which will be situated on Konstitucijos Pr., was unveiled last year. "Vilnius City Council vote in June 2017 allowed to initiate subsequent stages of the project, by approving the possibility to exceed the currently set height parameters in the Vilnius City Master plan, owing to the high public interest of the project," Ramils Kadirovs of Lords LB told us.

It is to have an area of app. 19,000 sqm and as well as office space will also include a 300-room Radisson Red hotel. The opening of the Radisson Red Vilnius hotel is expected in early 2020. Investment costs for K18B are to come to more than EUR 40 mln, EUR 30 mln of which is to be provided by a loan from Swedbank. JSC Investmira, a subsidiary of the Lords LB Special Fund I, is the developer of the project.
