LITHUANIA The Paradise Papers leak has revealed that U2 front-man Bono was invested in a Lithuanian shopping centre before he had ever visited the country.

According to the guardian.com portal Bono “was an investor in the Maltese company Nude Estates, which bought the Aušra mall – named after the Lithuanian word for dawn – for EUR 5.8 mln shortly after it opened in 2007.” In 2012, the shopping centre business was transferred to a company in Guernsey called Nude Estates 1. The Aušra mall is in Utena.
