POLAND The MMG Center mall in Ciechanów is to be extended by 3,000 sqm.
“Currently, analyses are being carried out for the extension and reorganisation of the centre. Also, technical and architectural consultations are underway to prepare the space for the tenants during the structural work. We are planning to complete around 3,000 sqm of new space and reorganise an existing area of around 3,000 sqm. On completion MMG Center Ciechanów will have an area of nearly 18,000 sqm making it the dominant shopping centre in Ciechanów. The centre will meet the majority of customer needs, including basic grocery shopping and there will also be a wide range of services and entertainment,” said Michał Masztakowski, the development director at Master Management Group. The mall is fully leased with nine tenants having extended their leases for a combined retail area of nearly 3,300 sqm. Contracts were signed by New Yorker, Martes Sport, CCC, Hebe, Apteka Przyjazna, Big Star, Kolporter, Play and RTV Euro AGD. Three new islands have been created in the passageways with an MKiosk banking point by MBank, a Semilac stand selling nail polish and a photo booth by Bujaki. “A few stores in MMG Center Ciechanów want to update the design of their store and have expressed their intention of extending or refurbishing their outlets. More lease extensions should be signed over the coming year. We also want to develop the entertainment and food sections and the centre is to include a multiplex cinema,” said Anna Polak, the head of leasing w Master Management Group. MMG Center in Ciechanów is part of a portfolio of seven centres which the company acquired in September earlier this year with the others in Kutno, Piekary Śląskie, Józefosław, Lubin, Poznań and Szczecin. The company also manages Brama Mazur in Ełk and Galeria Niwa in Oświęcim and has a total retail area of around 100,000 sqm under management. Furthermore, MMG is developing the Forest Park Outlet in Łomna near Warsaw and has projects in Zawiercie, Kołobrzeg and Legionowo. The company is also building a mixed-use centre with office, retail and hotel space under the name of Piotrkowska 155 in Łódź.
