POLAND The Business Link co-working chain opened a new office in the Maraton building on ul. Królowej Jadwigi in the centre of Poznań.
It will occupy 4,000 sqm on the ground floor and the first floor of the office building. It will include 143 private office rooms, there will be 58 co-working workstations, 38 dedicated desks, eight meeting rooms, including one which will be equipped with a media wall as well as a chill-out area of 200 sqm. Some of the walls have been decorated with the forest moss, other walls feature paintings of Dorota Zemła and Dariusz Mlącki., Like all locations of the chain Business Link Maraton is open 24/7. Users of this area can also work in co-working and meeting rooms in the company’s other area in Poznań as well as other Polish cities: Warsaw, TriCity, Szczecin, Toruń, Łódź, Lublin, Katowice and Kraków. Business Link forms a community of entrepreneurs, which so far included over 21,000 companies, such as: Brand24, Glov, Dirlango and Sidly. Over the next few years the comapny will open ten new locations with a combined area of 45,000-50,000 sqm. “We have recently observed a rapid growth of interest in Business Link areas among large corporations. Our residents are no longer just start-up teams including a dozen or so people. They are also global companies employing from a few hundred to a few thousand people, who require not only a flexible place and time for work but mostly look for inspirations and want to transform themselves into modern organizations,” says Dariusz Żuk, CEO and founder of the Business Link chain. Maraton has seven above-ground floors and two underground ones. It has an area of 26,000 sqm. The building was constructed by Skanska and it was opened in May. In March it was purchased from the developer by a fund managed by Union Investment at the price of EUR 62 mln.
