A month ago Strabag finished road no 7 from Rychnowo do Olsztynek
POLAND The consortium of Strabag and Strabag Infrastruktura Południe has signed subsequent contracts concerning the design and construction of sections of expressways.

The contracts concern the construction of S7 expressways Olsztynek (S51) – Płońsk (S10) in the Strzegowo–Pieńki and Pieńki–Płońsk. The project worth a total of app. PLN 828 mln will be executed within 34 months. “Last year we completed five section of S7 in the north and south of the country. We have also recently signed a contract concerning the construction of a neighbouring section of S7 from Napierki to Mława and the new road is to be used by drivers travelling from the north to the south of Poland,” says Wojciech Trojanowski, member of the board at Strabag.

The work will include the design and construction of a 22-km section of the road from Strzegowo to Pieńki and a nearly 14-km section from Pieńki to Płońsk. A dual carriageway is to be built, nearly each roadway will have two lanes and a 2.5-metre emergency lane. Both sections will mostly be but along the existing route of national road no. 7 but they will partly also include new routes. Strabag will also build interchanges, passenger service centres, infrastructure for pedestrians, road culverts, emergency roads as well as drainage systems for roads and engineering structures.
