Four BREEAMs for Yareal
300 apartments are being built in the Strefa Wilanów project
POLAND Yareal is the first develope in Poland to be awarded a BREEAM Interim certificates for four residential projects, all of which are in Warsaw.

The estates include Strefa Wilanów, Rezydencja Chrobrego, Eden Włodarzewska and Sienna 65. Yareal is also one of the few developers in the country that intends to certify all its residential projects under BREEAM. “We want to provide our residents with energy efficient apartments of the highest standard and comfort, which is why we have implemented modern and ecological solutions. We will also be applying for environmental certificates for our forthcoming residential projects,” announces Eric Dapoigny, the president of Yareal Polska. So far a total of eleven residential projects have been awarded sustainability certificates, including six projects certified under BREEAM.

“The factors that have been assessed include energy consumption, thermal comfort and whether the apartments have adequate access to daylight. The biodiversity of green areas is also taken under consideration. Top scores were awarded for ecology, transport, energy and the management of the entire investment. Yareal has also introduced a sustainable purchasing policy by which it buys organic materials from certified sources,” explains Katarzyna Mitura, a BREEAM international assessor from WSP Poland.
