POLAND Electronic component supplier Transfer Multisort Elektronik (TME) of Łódź is moving its headquarters.

The company will tale up 5,500 sqm of useable space in a BTS building. The company has been on the market for almost 30 years and employs almost 700 people in its Łódź office as well as a further 100 in its foreign subsidiaries in Germany, the UK and China. Construction work on the four-storey HQ began In 2016 at ul. Rozalia 1, next to its previous office on ul. Ustronna. The partitions and floors of the open space offices have been soundproofed and there are telephone booths for private conversations on each floor. The building also has over 20 meeting rooms, a relaxation area for employees and two terraces with views of the city from the top floor. “We want our new headquarters to create a good atmosphere that is not only conducive for work but also for the development of our employees,” says Andrzej Kuczyński, a project manager at TME. The showpiece of the office building is the façade with 13,000 installed LEDs, which can be programmed to display pictures or even short animated sequences. The illumination was switched on for the first time on May 12th, during the official opening. The previous TME building is to be used as a distribution centre. Every day TME sends over 4,000 packages to customers in 140 countries. In 2017 the company sold over 1.5 bln components.
