Furniture to facilitate collaboration
Austrian designer Thomas Feichtner

POLAND Austrian designer Thomas Feichtner explains why office furniture will in future not be designed like machines that increase work efficiency, but rather as objects to facilitate collaboration.

The designs will be simple and universal with no regard for a person’s standing within a company. “Office furniture is not meant to differentiate between a CEO and an employee. They work towards the same goals so why shouldn’t their furniture look the same?” asks Thomas Feichtner. Thomas Feichtner designed the Studio modular workplace system for Bene.

The interview was held during the Third Architecture Festival in Warsaw.
