Belarus to build Moscow residential tower
The land that the tower is to stand on has a rent of RUB 1 per annum
RUSSIA/BELARUS Minsk-based developer Stroytrest 4 [Стройтрест № 4] is to build a 21-storey residential building in Moscow for employees of the Belarusian embassy.
The news was published by the ‘На стройках Минска’ newspaper, which also contained an artist’s rendering of the building.

The building is to be constructed in Moscow’s Bogorodskoye [Богородское] district. The building will comprise 100 apartments including 20 studios, 52 two-room flats and 27 three-room apartments as well as an apartment with a conference room. On the ground floor there will also be a fitness club with a gym, a mini-bar and a sauna. The building will also include a car park for 60 vehicles.

The general contractor is Belarusian based SU-13 [СУ-13]. The entire construction team will also comprise Belarusian nationals.

The plot in Moscow has been leased to Belarus for 49 years with a rent of RUB 1 per annum. In return, Belarus has signed a 49-year lease with Russia for a plot in Minsk for the construction of a cultural and office centre with an annual rent of BYN 1.
