CTP completes three Vlněna buildings

Rafał Ostrowski has over 17 years’ experience as a journalist. Before joining ‘Eurobuild CEE’ five years ago, he wrote for Wydawnictwo Murator and Shopping Centre Magazine, as well as for retailnet.pl. He has also written for many newspapers and magazines as a freelancer and prepared photo-reportages. Rafał graduated from the University of Warsaw in philosophy. He also completed postgraduate studies in text editing. For ‘Eurobuild CEE’ he covers most real estate sectors, including logistics, construction, office, residential and retail. He is also in charge of the film direction for Eurobuild TV.

CZECH REPUBLIC CTP has completed first three buildings of its Vlněna brownfield redevelopement project on the site of a former textile factory in central Brno.
The buildings F, G and H make up the first stage of the complex with 18,000 sqm of leasable space, including 16,000 sqm of offices.

Most of the space has already been leased to tenants that include Avast (8,000 sqm), Oracle (6,500 sqm) and software developers STRV (400 sqm). Retail tenants on the ground floor include a Rebel Bean café. “Building H is fully leased, and in F and G we have around 1,500 sqm available immediately; there is also some retail space available on the ground floor,” said Jiří Kostečka, a senior business development manager at CTP. Moravia IT has already signed up for 8,000 sqm in the project’s next stage.

Buildings A and B are to be completed in the second half of 2019. Construction has also recently been launched on a 30,000 sqm complex comprising building C, D, and E. A total of 90,000 sqm will have been developed in Vlněna business park by 2021, after which the complex could be further expanded to 130,000 sqm. The first five buildings have an investment cost of almost CZK 3 bln (app. EUR 116 mln).
