RUSSIA Russian pharma company NovaMedica has appointed Bilfinger Industrietechnik Salzburg to construct a pharmaceutical factory in the Vorsino industrial park in the Kaluga region, 190 km southwest of Moscow.
The construction work is to be completed in 2020. This is the first contract awarded to Bilfinger Industrietechnik Salzburg in Russia. “For us, Russia is a market of strategic interest. The production of pharmaceuticals is increasingly being located domestically as part of the Russian government’s ‘Pharma 2030’ strategy. This is creating demand for high-end pharmaceutical production facilities, which is precisely what we have on offer in our engineering portfolio,” said Duncan Hall, Bilfinger’s COO. The fully automated production plant will meet cGMP standards as well as the strictest international and Russian quality standards. It will be operated using a modern software system.
