Yareal launches Soho project
Construction work has started on Soho by Yareal
POLAND Yareal has started apartment sales for the first stage of its Soho by Yareal residential project under construction on former industrial land in Warsaw’s Praga-Południe district.
The Soho 18. Building will include apartments that range in size from 30 sqm to more than 100 sqm. The nine-storey building with cascading roofs is under construction at the junction of ul. Żupnicza and ul. Chodakowska. The ground floor, which is to be built in a C-shape will include retail outlets a lobby and a reception area. The building will also provide underground parking on two levels. Hermanowicz Rewski Architekci studio was responsible for the design, which includes the use of materials such as concrete and weathering steel to maintain the site’s post-industrial character. “In creating Soho by Yareal, we wanted to retain the spirit of the Soho Factory site. We want to complete this part of the district, by creating a new, attractive urban space,” announced Eric Dapoigny, the CEO of Yareal Polska. All the apartments will be equipped with Fibaro smart home system, which will allow residents to control many of the systems in their apartments remotely via a smartphone app. Over 15 pct of the apartments have already been reserved. The building will be delivered by the end of 2021. A service and retail area as well as recreational facilities are also planned on the 5 ha site. The project is intended to be the first estate in Poland that will be certified under the BREEAM Communities certificate.
