Marriott hits 7,000 mark
The St. Regis Hong Kong is a 27-storey luxury hotel

WORLD Marriott International opened the doors to its 7,000th hotel – the St. Regis Hong Kong.

Marriott plans to add a further 1,700 hotels globally to its chain by the end of 2021.

The St. Regis Hong Kong is a 27-storey luxury hotel, with butler service, and a number of restaurants. Marriott’s global expansion strategy is to focus on the highest standard hotels and on fast-growing markets such as Hong Kong. The Marriott chain started in the US with its first property, the four-storey Twin Bridges Marriott motor hotel, opening in 1957 in Arlington, Virginia.
