Anna Pakulniewicz 15 May 2019
Warbud to build school in PPP project
Warbud is to recoup its investment through a twenty year maintenance contract
POLAND Warbud has signed a PPP agreement worth PLN 80 mln to reconstruct and extend the Adam Mickiewicz secondary school in the Warsaw satellite town of Piastów.

Warbud was the only company to bid for the contract. Warbud has until mid July this year to find the necessary financing for the project. In the first stage, which is to be completed within twelve months, a new, three-storey building is to be constructed to house a library and a sports hall with a total useable area of around 4,500 sqm and in the second Warbud is to renovate the school’s existing 2,000 sqm and a roofed passageway to the new wing is to be built. Warbud’s investment will be repaid in instalments through a twenty year maintenance contract held by Vinci Facilities Polska, which is another subsidiary of Warbud’s parent company, Vinci Construction. The town authorities were advised in the deal by C&K Kancelaria Doradztwa Gospodarczego.
