Segro invests in Wrocław

Eurobuild CEE 18 July 2019
Segro invests in Wrocław
Segro Logistics Park Wrocław will be the third Segro property in the area
POLAND Segro has purchased a plot of more than 17 ha in Biskupice Podgórne near Wrocław. Eventually Segro Logistics Park Wrocław will comprise75,000 sqm of modern warehouse and production space.

The development, like all Segro projects, is to be certified under BREEAM and will be the group’s third centre in the Wrocław area with the first being Segro Industrial Park Wrocław located on a 10 ha site to the north-east of the city where a further 35,000 sqm could be developed. Segro has also recently acquired a park to the south of the city, which has been named Segro Industrial Park Wrocław 2 with a total of area of 24,000 sqm.

“Being in the south of the city broadens our range. We are currently in promising negotiations to acquire further investment land near Poland’s largest urban centres where owe will base our logistics parks,” reports Bartosz Michalski, the development director at Segro. “Segro's rapid development in Wrocław is a response to the growing demand for warehouse and production space in this part of Poland. The new plot has a building permit, which means that we will be able to start building a new project within a few months of a client for this location appearing,” says Joanna Janiszewska, a regional director at Segro.
