Rafał Ostrowski has over 17 years’ experience as a journalist. Before joining ‘Eurobuild CEE’ five years ago, he wrote for Wydawnictwo Murator and Shopping Centre Magazine, as well as for retailnet.pl. He has also written for many newspapers and magazines as a freelancer and prepared photo-reportages. Rafał graduated from the University of Warsaw in philosophy. He also completed postgraduate studies in text editing. For ‘Eurobuild CEE’ he covers most real estate sectors, including logistics, construction, office, residential and retail. He is also in charge of the film direction for Eurobuild TV.

EUROBUILD CEE As 2019 is entering its final weeks the real estate market is showing no signs of slowing down. Acquisitions, leases and new developments are stirring up excitement, just as they always do. Adding to the picture this week is the growing interest in the Eurobuild Awards, as the date of the gala, December 3rd, grows ever closer.
1. The number one piece of news last week was yet another purchase by Globalworth. This time the Romanian-based investor is to buy two Warsaw office buildings from Cavatina Holdings.





2. WeWork is to take out a large lease in a high-rise project in Warsaw - and this story turned out to be the second most widely read news item last week.




3. The Eurobuild Awards always generates a lot of attention, so it's no wonder that many readers wanted to check out this year’s full list of nominees.





4. More Leroy Merlin stores in Poland and the further shrinking of Tesco! This is what will happen when the DIY retailer buys three buildings from Tesco in Gorzów Wielkopolski.




5. A Warsaw-based developer is about to start the construction of a tall office building near the Arkadia shopping centre in Warsaw’s Wola district, which was the fifth most widely read story of the wee.:
