Ghelamco stays busy
The sale of the Warsaw Spire is one of the largest transactions of 2019 so far
POLAND Over 2019 Ghelamco has launched two projects, sold the Warsaw Spire tower and signed one of the largest lease transactions in Warsaw.

In June insurance company Warta leased almost 20,000 sqm in the Warsaw Unit, which is one of the largest lease transactions of the year. The developer has also begun construction work on the Prochownia Łomianki retail park and is completing the renovation of two town houses that were built over 120 years ago on ul. Foksal in Warsaw. Also in Warsaw work has begun on the Flisac Apartamenty Powiśle apartment building, which is to overlook the river Vistula. Additionally it is currently constructing three high-rise blocks as part of the Warsaw Hub development as well as the Warsaw Unit, which is to be 202m in height. Preparation work has also begun for further skyscrapers in central Warsaw at pl. Grzybowski, and pl. Zawiszy as well as the Bellona Tower project, which is to be built next to the Warsaw Spire. The zoning plan allows for a building of 180m with 50 floors and a design concept has been produced by UNStudio from the Netherlands in collaboration with PBPP Projekt in Poland. However, Ghelamco has not yet officially commented on the project.
