As well being responsible for editing the English section of ‘Eurobuild CEE’ magazine, he also contributes news from around Central Europe and articles on the investment and industrial markets and on architecture. R&D goes Bohemian
The centre is designed for innovating systems for producing car seating materials

CZECH REPUBLIC Adient, a Czech producer of industrial fabrics for automotive, has opened a development and innovation centre in the South Bohemian town of Strakonice.

The 3,500 sqm facility is designed for automotive fabrics research and development and is an addition to an the company’s already existing plant on the site. The R&D centre will be focused on developing systems to increase their functionality and lifespan of these materials while being environmentally friendly.

CBRE provided project management services during the construction of the facility. “The service included leadership during all phases of the project. We coordinated project activities and documentation during the construction permit, tender and execution phases. We organized tendering the general contractor including evaluation and contract signing,’ says Jan Chloupek, the senior project manager in the building consultancy at CBRE in the Czech Republic.
