Increased turnover for Galeria Jurajska
The shopping centre in Częstochowa has 200 stores, services, F&B tenants and a Cinema CIty

POLAND In 2019 Galeria Jurajska in Częstochowa recorded its highest turnover growth in three years.

Retailers operating in the centre increased their turnover by almost 7 pct over the year.

“In 2019, Galeria Jurajska was one of the most popular shopping centres in the Silesian province. This can be seen from the high footfall and the increase in turnover. This shows that we are a place where real shopping is done,” says Anna Borecka-Suda, a deputy director of Galeria Jurajska.

The centre comprises 200 stores, services and restaurants, with such brands as Zara, Massimo Dutti, Guess, H&M, Reserved, Cropp, House, Kazar, Ecco and Deichmann. In total, there are 71 fashion tenants. The entertainment and leisure in centre includes an eight-screen Cinema City, the 500 sqm Bajkowy Labirynt amusement park, the 8,500 sqm Bulwary Juraskie and a Calypso fitness club. A total of 17 food & beverages tenants operate in both the passageways and around the food court. There are also seven home décor tenants, including Duka, Ernest Rust, Home&You and Jysk. The services tenants include mobile phone operators, a bank, travel agencies, hair and beauty salons, a dry cleaner and a post office. The mall also has 15 health and beauty tenants and 14 jewellery stores, two of which are Apart jewellers.

In 2019 there were ten new openings in the centre, including Guess, Kodano Optyk, Puccini, Borgio, Sugarfree/Cardiobuny, Pit Bull West Coast and a Pasibus restaurant. Contracts were also extended with 52 tenants, which has resulted in the refurbishment and enlargement of some of their stores. Eobuwie.pl is to become a tenant this month with a 1,000 sqm store. The openings of such stores as Xiaomi, Change Lingerie and Venezia are also planned in the next few months.

Galeria Jurajska, which opened in 2009, is the largest shopping centre in Częstochowa with 49,000 sqm gla. It is owned by GTC.
