Rafał Ostrowski has over 17 years’ experience as a journalist. Before joining ‘Eurobuild CEE’ five years ago, he wrote for Wydawnictwo Murator and Shopping Centre Magazine, as well as for retailnet.pl. He has also written for many newspapers and magazines as a freelancer and prepared photo-reportages. Rafał graduated from the University of Warsaw in philosophy. He also completed postgraduate studies in text editing. For ‘Eurobuild CEE’ he covers most real estate sectors, including logistics, construction, office, residential and retail. He is also in charge of the film direction for Eurobuild TV.

Rondo 1 includes 67,000 sqm of office space

POLAND Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed property manager of Rondo 1 in Warsaw’s central business district.

Rondo 1 was designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill together with Warsaw-based AZO. The office complex built in 2006 consists of two buildings including a 40-floor tower on Al. Jana Pawła II and a ten-floor building on ul. Świętokrzyska. It includes 67,000 sqm of office space and has a total area of 103,000 sqm. The complex is LEED Platinum certified.

“Having taken over property management of Rondo 1, we are going to deliver a full range of asset services for the building and provide administrative, operational, financial and technical oversight. It is critical that we liaise and maintain good relationships with tenants who are always extremely important to us,” said Grzegorz Dyląg, the head of asset services business space at Cushman & Wakefield.

The company has also had its mandate to manage Green Corner B and Kopernik Office Buildings in Warsaw extended. The company first took over tha management of the buildings in January 2015.

Green Corner is a nine-floor office building with 28,000 sqm of leasable space in Warsaw’s Wola district. It is LEED certified with a ‘Platinum’ rating. The Kopernik Office Building complex in Warsaw’s Włochy district consists of five buildings providing a total of more than 23,000 sqm. The buildings are BREEAM In-Use certified with a rating of ‘Very Good’ for Asset Performance and Building Management.
