Polish RE lends an even greater hand to fight the pandemic
#Property4Heroes delivers 1,150 meals to medical staff every day

POLAND More companies have joined # Property4Heroes - the commercial real estate market's initiative to support hospital staff and ambulance crews across Poland. Each day the initiative delivers 1,150 meals to physicians, nurses, paramedics and support personnel.

The latest names to join the initiative are CA Immo, Capital Park Group and Savills Investment Management, who join existing members CPI Property Group, Echo Investment, EPP, Ghelamco, Globalworth, Griffin Real Estate, HB Reavis, Immofinanz, Invesco Real Estate, Panattoni , Skanska and Vastint.

In a joint statement, representatives of the companies taking part in # Property4Heroes have announced: “This is a clear sign that companies that normally compete with each other are able to join forces to help the personnel of medical centers in such a difficult time, showing the strength and potential of the entire industry, rather than just in business terms. The positive feedback we have received from the medical staff shows us that they need our help very much. For us we have also learnt a valuable lesson for the future: that it is worth joining forces, sharing budgets and cooperating. The initiative is likely to strengthen our mutual business relations, when life and work are no longer impacted by the ongoing epidemic. "

The meals are delivered each day to sixteen hospitals and ambulance stations in nine Polish cities: Warsaw, Kraków, Katowice, Wrocław, Kielce, Łódź, Poznań, Szczecin, and Gdańsk. Most often these include lunches, but also beverages and snacks. The participating companies have also engaged the tenants of the office buildings and shopping centres in their portfolios in preparing the meals. The initiative is also supplying medical staff with protective gear and life-saving equipment.

"Each day we receive heart-felt thanks from the hospitals and medical centers supported by the real estate industry. The regularly delivered meals enable us to concentrate on treating the patients, especially as due to the sanitary restrictions, their activity outside work has been limited to a bare minimum. This is important aid that they appreciate greatly, ”reveals Małgorzata Mikulik, who is in charge of coordinating the distribution of the support to the hospitals and crew.
